Our first annual Readers Theatre Fundraising Event was a phenomenal first event. This year’s featured reader was Gregory Maguire, New York Times best-selling author of Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (basis for the Tony award-winning Broadway Musical Wicked). The moderator was Rex Smith, Editor of the Times Union, and other readers included Barbara Smith, Frankie Y. Bailey, Marion Roach smith, Dijonnaye Daniels, James Preller, Ted Walker, and Ayah Osman and Varun Mondayka from Children at the Well.
