Last year, only 7% of South End fourth graders tested as “proficient” on the state English Language Arts test. This is exactly the problem Wizard’s Wardrobe was created to solve.

The concept is simple – pair a struggling reader with a well-trained, caring tutor with the complete flexibility to tailor instruction to fit the learning style of their particular student and watch the magic of reading occur!

Virtually all our students (96%) leave the program reading at a higher level. One of our students won his school’s 5th grade ELA prize last year.

Last year, our supporters helped us provide more than 4,500 hours of free quality literacy tutoring!
